This privacy policy describes how the Palm Tree Place Resident App ("the App") collects, uses and protects the personal information of residents of Palm Tree Place, 23 Palm Grove Road, Victoria Layout, Austin Town, Bangalore.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you register and use the App:

• Full name and flat number
• Mobile phone number
• Email address (if you register with email)
• Block and flat number within Palm Tree Place
• Details of domestic help registered by you
• Service requests raised by you
• Payment records for society maintenance
• Device push notification token (for alerts)

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used exclusively for:

• Verifying your identity as a resident of Palm Tree Place
• Sending you notices and updates from the Executive Committee
• Processing and tracking your service requests
• Managing society payments and generating receipts
• Sending emergency SOS alerts to opted-in residents
• Maintaining a secure resident directory

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade or share your personal information with any third parties except:

• Firebase (Google) — for secure data storage, authentication and push notifications
• Razorpay — for processing maintenance payments (only when you initiate a payment)
• Executive Committee members — who have access to resident information for society management purposes

4. Data Security

We take data security seriously:

• All data is stored securely on Google Firebase servers
• Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS

• Payment processing is handled by Razorpay — we never store card or bank details
• Phone OTP verification ensures only verified residents can register

5. Your Rights

As a resident you have the right to:

• View your personal information stored in the App
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Opt out of push notifications at any time
• Control whether your profile is visible to other residents

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as you are a resident of Palm Tree Place. Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by Indian financial regulations. Upon request, your personal data will be deleted within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for use by adult residents only. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be notified through the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
